Day 568

Tired, still jet lagged, legs feeling the pavement. Managed to get in a short one in the afternoon.

Day 567

So I got up at 5am GMT, and then chased the sun, arriving in Denver at 5:00pm MDT. By the time I started to run, it was about 8pm, so more than 24 hours later, but the same day for me. I was exhausted, but hit the treadmill and felt a little better.

Day 566

It was raining when I got up late today. So I hung out a bit, drank water, and stretched. Then I decided to just try it, and fortunately it was down to a light sprinkle as I hit the pavement. More puddles, and I finished with a wet sock.

Day 565

Cooler today, and some rain sprinkling, but took off on my “normal” route again in London. I tried to go the other way on the main road, but construction stopped me and so I turned back down what I knew.

Day 564

Another morning run, everyone asleep, pounding down the pavement in London. Went further down Tottenham Court Rd, and a detour by the BT Tower.

No Challenge

I suspected that trying to run in London might be a challenge. There aren’t necessarily great places, it’s crowded, and I have to commute. Wednesday seemed like a candidate for a tough run with me taking the late train Tuesday from Cambridge and then take one back in the morning. Also a return Wednesday night.

My suspicion was that I’d be too tired to run Wed morning and that I’d be in a hurry to get to work, so I’d be looking to run Wed night, which could be an issue. And that’s the one work day where I’m not in a hotel and without a treadmill to bail me out.

However it wasn’t bad. I have trouble sleeping on the road, so getting up at 6:45 wasn’t a problem, and Tottenham Court Road was pretty deserted, so it was an easy run.

My last run today in Cambridge before heading back to London for a few days, but no work, so I can run at my leisure.
